Cooking with Jodi Part 1 and 2

Are you looking to shake up your cooking routine and learn how to create healthy, delicious meals in 2019? If so, our “Just for Fun” Culinary classes are for you. Join Chef Jodi for two cooking classes on the keto diet, learn how to prepare versatile meals and take home delicious food!

 

 

Cooking with Jodi Part 1 - ZC 105

March  5, 2019, 7-10pm, SHU B212 

What can you eat on the keto diet? This class is for the beginner, someone who wants to know what all the hype is about and if it is really for them. Chef Jodi will take you step-by-step through the prep and cooking of a sausage and greens hash bowl, spinach salad with flank steak, bacon wrapped asparagus with horseradish dip and one pot chicken. This course is also for those who are looking to gain more knowledge with kitchen prep/food safety skills. Participants are asked to bring take-home containers for your creations and an apron to protect clothes. Closed-toed sturdy shoes (running shoes, hikers etc.) are required. Note: We cannot guarantee an allergy free environment. Common allergens (seeds, tree nuts, grains, etc.) may be used in this cooking class.

Cooking with Jodi Part 2 - ZC 106

March 12, 2019, 7-10pm in SHU B212

If you are looking for a chance to further expand your recipe book, this course is for you. Learn safety and food-handling tips as well as how to speed up your prep time. You will prepare four or five keto dishes, time allowing; early-day jambalaya, spinach with crispy chicken, pizza pate, keto lemonade and beef stroganoff. You will also receive a sample week meal plan with a shopping list. Participants are asked to bring take-home containers for your creations and an apron to protect clothes. Closed-toed sturdy shoes (running shoes, hikers etc.) are required. Note: We cannot guarantee an allergy free environment. Common allergens (seeds, tree nuts, grains, etc.) may be used in this cooking class.
