Missing Youth JOSIAH BEGG - How You Can Help Search at Confederation College

The Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) and Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) are working together to search for a missing youth - JOSIAH BEGG. 14-year-old Josiah was last seen on Saturday, May 6th at approximately 10:00 p.m. near the Vale Community Centre. Search efforts are focusing on the Northwood area, including on the Confederation College property. Josiah is described as 5’5”, 120 lbs, brown short hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, red hoodie and grey/white sweatpants.

How You Can Help

If you are moving through the Confederation College grounds and would like to participate in a VOLUNTARY search, you are welcome to do so. Please ensure that you consider your safety first and that you search in pairs or larger groups. Bring a charged cell phone with you to ensure you can call for help if needed. For suspicious activity or emergencies, call 911 and call Campus Security at (807) 623-0465. We recommend you to pre-program Security’s number into your phone and to avoid searching at night. If you would like search vests and/or flashlights, please contact the NAN Command Centre (information below).

In the case of SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY or EMERGENCIES, please call 911.
