I have always been an advocate for students. I’ve been on the Board of Directors (BOD) for 7 Generations. I was Chairman of the Board at my local school and represented my school at a Resources Council level. I am currently representing students here at Confederation College as President of Oshki Anishnaabeg Student Association (OASA). I represent OASA on the Student Union (SUCCI) Board of Directors as well as hold seats and advocate for our students on several other boards including the Negahneewin Education Circle and the College Planning Committee.
I have Graduated from a Pre-Tech Electrical HydroOne course with honors maintaining a GPA of 4.0. I was also a peer tutor during this time. I have taken 1st year Electrical Engineering, but switched to Mechanical this year. I hold a great respect for each and every student and will do as much as i can to help promote and strengthen each and every student to the best of my abilities and theirs.
I have renovated and built houses, worked as a water treatment plant operator, I’ve been in charge of maintenance at Musselwhite mine and Superior View Housing here in Thunder Bay.
I am here to serve the students and represent them at Confederation College as best as I can.
What OASA means to me
OASA is the bridge that connects all students together in unity along with maintaining close relationships with other governing bodies in the college and the surrounding areas. OASA provides community based leadership and advocacy that effectively addresses the best interests of ALL students.
