Nadine Doucette

Professor, BA, MA, Coordinator, Health Administration and Leadership, Human Resources Management

Nadine Doucette is a Professor in the School of Business at Confederation College where she has been a faculty member since 2012. She is a Professor of Health Administration and Leadership and Human Resources. In 2017, Nadine was honoured to receive the Board of Governors Award of Excellence for Full Time Faculty.

Nadine completed a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University, a degree in Political Science, Pre-Law from Lakehead University, and a diploma in Human Resources from Confederation College. Nadine is an active member of the Human Resources Professional Association and has written exam questions for the CKE1 exam for the Human Resource designations. Nadine enjoys teaching a variety of Health Administration and Leadership courses including, Managing Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, and Leadership, as she is able to draw examples from over 25 years of experience leading in Health and Community Organizations. To ensure Nadine remains current in teaching, Nadine continues to attend conferences and workshops related to the courses she is teaching.

Nadine recognized early in her career, the significant impact effective leadership can have on employees, managers, and on organization success. She is eager to teach and guide students to develop the expertise in health leadership they need to successfully gain employment and add the most value to the organizations they work for throughout their careers. She has a passion for using a variety of teaching methods to engage students with varying learning styles.

In addition, to full time teaching, Nadine believes in giving to her community and has served as Chair on a number of boards of directors, including Thunder Bay Regional Health ciences, Faye Peterson Transitional House, and the Human Resources Professional Association of Northwestern Ontario.

Nadine enjoys spending time with family, practicing Spanish while travelling, power walking with friends, high intensity training workouts, reading, baking, and has recently added horse riding to her free time activities.
