Study Options (Distance Education)

Confederation College offers courses through a variety of learning options described below.

Distance Education

Students can participate in live scheduled classes via internet connection in real time via software-enhanced audio and video conferencing technology. Students access classes from any regional campus or from home. NOTE: Although participating in classes is available from the student’s home, tests must be invigilated at the student’s Confederation College campus or by a previously approved private invigilator and must be written in Canada.

Please note that invigilated testing is at the discretion of course instructors.  Any fees associated with invigilated testing at an off-campus location are outside of the College's control and are the responsibility of the student.

Online Learning (OntarioLearn and Confederation Online)

This online learning environment provides students with access to their courses 24/7. A class schedule is posted at the beginning of the course. Students work independently but must adhere to the schedule for submission of assignments, discussions, and exams. Instructors are accessible via a number of electronic communication tools, such as email, course chats, and discussion boards.
