About Photos & Videos

Photos and/or videos are frequently taken at College Rec Association events.  The College Rec Association of Confederation College reserves the right to use all pictures taken for use on the Confederation College Staff Rec web page, Staff News web page, and for archival or promotional purposes.  If you are not comfortable with your photo being used, please inform the event photographer(s) at the start of the event.

Consumption of Alcohol

The College Rec Association provides opportunities for members, non-members and guests to take part in social events organized at various venues in the community where alcohol is served. College Rec is committed to the promotion of an environment that facilitates and encourages drinking responsibly. Personal moderation in the consumption of alcohol and respectful behaviour is expected and contributes to the effective and safe management of these activities. The College Rec Association of Confederation College does not hold a Liquor Licence.  As an association we contract with local establishments, and they are responsible for the liquor service and adherence to the LLBO regulations. College Rec has a duty to abide by the LLBO regulations and guidelines to support the responsible service and consumption of alcohol.

Drinking Responsibly Includes:

  • Not drinking underage, or encouraging those underage to purchase or consume alcohol
  • Knowing how much you can drink based on your body size before reaching intoxication
  • Ensuring that you are only driven home by someone who has not consumed alcohol, and that you yourself do not drive over the legal limit
  • Watching out for your fellow members, guests and their drinks
  • Reporting to the staff of those establishments, those who are intoxicated and indicating that they may be driving

Personal Information on this form is collected in accordance with sections 21, 39 and 43 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and under the legal authority of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act. R.S.O. 1990 and the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002, Regulations 34/03, and used for educational, administrative and statistical purposes of the college and/or ministries and agencies of the government of Ontario and the government of Canada. Your information will be used by Confederation College and the College Recreation Association to  provide communication on recreation events and important information about your membership. Any questions concerning your personal information can be emailed to the College Recreation Association.
