Living with Diabetes

In this course, students will examine strategies needed to manage and support the demands of living with diabetes. Students will learn about the acute and chronic complications related to diabetes and the aging process. Studies will identify ways to help clients reduce risk, promote self-care behaviours and examine self-management practices in relation to blood glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Pre-requisites: OL001 Diabetes: the Basics or WR440 Diabetes: the Basics, and OL002 Diabetes Education: Approaches in Practice or WR441 Introduction to Patient Education
